The PBA's Position On The Lawsuit

The PBA has endorsed the filing of the lawsuit to remedy the FLSA violations. The PBA was particularly concerned by the failure of the City to comply with even some of the basic requirements of the FLSA and the impact on officers' personal lives of the City's illegal compensatory time off practices, which involve the City denying requests for comp. time when the law does not allow such denials.

The PBA's General Counsel's office will facilitate communication between PBA members and the PBA about the lawsuit. The members of the General Counsel's office can be reached at (212) 298-9144.
